چکیده

We present an improved scheme for the precise evaluation of finite-temperature response functions of strongly correlated systems in the framework of the time-dependent density matrix renormalization group. The maximum times that we can reach at finite temperatures T are typically increased by a factor of two, when compared against the earlier approaches. This novel scheme, complemented with linear prediction, allows us now to evaluate dynamic correlators for interacting bosons in one dimension. We demonstrate that the considered spectral function in the quantum critical regime with dynamic critical exponent z = 2 is captured by the universal scaling form S(k,!) = 1/T ·

The Impact of the Spectral Filter Bandwidth on the Spectral Entanglement and Indistinguishability of Photon Pairs of SPDC Process

In this paper, we have investigated the dependence of the spectral entanglement and indistinguishability of photon pairs produced by the spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) procedure on the bandwidth of spectral filters used in the detection setup. The SPDC is a three-wave mixing process which occurs in a nonlinear crystal and generates entangled photon pairs and utilizes as one of th...

RENORMALIZATION GROUP ANALYSIS OF QUANTUM CRITICAL POINTS IN d-WAVE SUPERCONDUCTORS

We describe a search for renormalization group fixed points which control a second-order quantum phase transition between a dx2−y2 superconductor and some other superconducting ground state. Only a few candidate fixed points are found. In the finite temperature (T ) quantum-critical region of some of these fixed points, the fermion quasiparticle lifetime is very short and the spectral function ...

Quantum critical spin-2 chain with emergent SU(3) symmetry.

We study the quantum critical phase of an SU(2) symmetric spin-2 chain obtained from spin-2 bosons in a one-dimensional lattice. We obtain the scaling of the finite-size energies and entanglement entropy by exact diagonalization and density-matrix renormalization group methods. From the numerical results of the energy spectra, central charge, and scaling dimension we identify the conformal fiel...

Matrix models with ~ string > 0

Within the framework of c= 1 matrix models, we consider multi-matrix models, i.e. the quantum mechanics of multi-matrix models. A connection is established between a D-matrix model and a D-dimensional gas of fermions (bosons) for odd (even) values of D. A statistical mechanical analysis yields the scaling law for the free energy, and hence the susceptibility exponents for the various models. Th...
